Ruthven, IA (KICD)– A Northeast Iowa woman has been charged following a traffic stop east of Ruthven Saturday evening.

Palo Alto County Sheriff John King tells us a Deputy stopped 54-year-old Tina Sprague of Waterloo shortly after 9:30 that night on Highway 18 just east of town where an investigation reportedly revealed the presence of an illegal substance.

As a result, Sprague was charged with possession of methamphetamine, third or subsequent offense, possession of contraband in a correctional institution, operating while intoxicated, open container of alcohol and multiple traffic related violations. She was booked into jail to await her initial court appearance.
