Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)– The new Palo Alto County Public Safety Building that is under construction in Emmetsburg is back on schedule after progressing slower than expected for a little while.

John Hansen from Midwest Construction Consultants tells KICD News there has been some significant progress on the building in recent days.

Sheriff John King says his team is really wanting to get into their new home and to get daily operations back to normal including in the county jail.

Even though the new facility is expected to be completed in November some sections, like the new jail, likely will not be fully operational until early December.
