Residents of Pocahontas County will vote on a new law enforcement center November 7th. Sheriff Steve Nelson says the century-old jail on the top floor of the courthouse is not repairable.

Nelson says it’s unfeasible to upgrade the current jail, so it’s a decision between a new building, or transporting prisoners to other counties.
