Sioux Falls, SD (KICD)– National Weather Service is continuing to work through a process that will ultimately reduce the number of headlines that are issued for weather purposes.
Peter Rogers is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the NWS office in Sioux Falls. He says the main change being looked at continues to revolve around the removal of advisories.
The current phase of development is giving the public an opportunity to weigh on some of the visual aspects of the changes that will not take effect until at least 2025.
The survey is open through Friday and can accessed on your local National Weather Service forecast office page by going to weather.gov.
