Spencer, IA (KICD)– Old Man Winter looks to still be targeting much of the region with a potentially major winter storm as we move into the second half of the week which has local communities preparing once again.

Spencer Public Works Director Mark White tells KICD News many snow removal efforts can typically be completed in one big attempt, but this storm will likely be a different story if the forecast holds meaning typical parking rules may have to be adjusted.

White adds having other objects, like garbage containers, out of the way can help keep removal efforts from being delayed.

Motorists are also advised to be patient and to allow plow operators some extra space in order to avoid getting stuck and slowing down removal or being involved in a potentially serious incident.
