Spirit Lake, IA (KICD) — Governor Kim Reynolds last week said she’d like Iowa to be an income tax free state by the end of her next term. Republican State Representative John Wills from Spirit Lake doesn’t know if THAT’S a real possibility but does think the state is over collecting income tax now.

Wills discounts an alternative plan by Democrats to target larger tax cuts for low wage-earners.

Wills serves as Speaker Pro Tem in the Iowa House of Representatives.
