Estherville, IA (KICD)– Occupants of a rental complex in Estherville have been displaced by a Monday night fire. Fire Chief Travis Sheridan says crews were initially called to the Country Side Apartment building at 203 28th Street around 5:45.

Chief Sheridan says one person did require assistance from law enforcement to exit the building.

The fire crew was on the scene for about an hour and returned Tuesday morning when it flared up again.
The State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating.
