Spencer, IA (KICD) — 150 cars checked into the Clay County Fair Speedway on an extremely hot & humid Wednesday evening for the annual Salute to Veteran’s Race. All veterans in attendance received free admission, a $20 gift card, a goody back, a free meal, and thousands of dollars in giveaways.

In the Modified Feature – Todd Shute picked up his 100th feature victory. Colby Fett was the feature winner in the Sport Modified class. Kelly Shryock has been no stranger to Victory Lane this summer, he picked up the Stock Car feature. Riley Paysen won the Sport Compact feature. And Mike Smith won the Hobby Stock feature.

The next race at the Clay County Fair Speedway will be Monday, August 7th.
