Hartley, IA (KICD) — A Sanborn man sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident Northwest of Hartley Saturday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol says 61 year old Jeffrey Gerritson of Sanborn was Eastbound on 310th Avenue and failed to yield to the vehicle on his right approaching from the South on Tanager Avenue. The two pickups collided in the intersection. The driver of vehicle two – 55 year old Kevin Gonnerman – was taken by ambulance to Sanford Sheldon and air-lifted to Sanford Sioux Falls.

The accident occurred around 10:40am and remains under investigation.
