Jackson, MN (KICD)– For the second time this week, a vehicle stolen in Jackson County has been recovered in South Central Minnesota.

The most recent case came on Wednesday when an employee at a Jackson convenience store had reportedly started their SUV to warm-up only to have it gone when they came back outside.

The vehicle was later located by the Minnesota State Patrol on Highway 60 near Madelia after it had entered the ditch and a tow truck to get out.

After learning the SUV had been stolen the operator, only identified as a 24-year-old man from Jackson, was taken into custody for the theft and was also found to have active arrest warrants out the Twins Cities metro for theft and trespassing.
