Sheldon, IA (KICD) — The Iowa State Patrol says a semi-driver from Minneapolis was injured Monday afternoon when he swerved to avoid striking another vehicle. 53 year old Mohamed Nuh was Southbound on Highway 60 and says he didn’t notice the brake lights and turn signals ahead of him until it was too late. When he swered, the Freightliner semi he was operating tipped onto the driver’s side, blocknig both lanes of traffic.
Sheldon Police, and the O’Brien and Sioux county Sheriff’s departments assisted at the scene.
Nuh was taken to Sheldon Hospital by ambulance with undislosed injuries. The Trooper writing up the report says it’s likely Nuh’s seatbelt saved his life.
