Spencer, IA (KICD) — The first two Shayla Bee Families of 2024 have been adopted. Founder Jerry Faulkner says Richardo and Roberto Cortes are family number two hundred sixty nine.

And family number two hundred seventy have a son with multiple medical issues including a heart condition.

A public welcoming ceremony was scheduled to take place Thursday evening at the new Shayla Bee headquarters in Spencer, but that has been postponed due to weather.
