Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn and Sheldon’s Cross Country teams competed at the West Lyon Wildcats Cross Country Invitational.

In the Girls race, Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley’s Elyse Zwart placed 1st with a time of 20:48.59. George-Little Rock would win the meet with 29 points.

In the Boys race, Caleb Huff of Sheldon won with a time of 18:19.57, his teammate Michael Wassenaar was 2nd with a time of 18:20.03, while Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s George Vargas placed 3rd with a time of 18:30.99, and Sheldon’s Lewis Scheaffer took 4th with a time of 18:51.56.

Sheldon would win the Boys race with 21 points, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn took 2nd with 90.
