Sheldon, IA (KICD)– Officials in the City of Sheldon are questioning some zoning practices in the community.

Councilman Brad Hindt shared some concerns during a discussion at Wednesday’s regular meeting noting the city side of the zoning process seems to be behind the ball.

City Manager Sam Kooiker replied by saying, in his opinion, many of the concerns could be addressed by going to a county zoning idea.

Kooiker says the property that was originally questioned began being developed last year and has since been sold making the entire zoning process a bit more muddy.
