Sheldon, IA (KICD) — The National Weather Service confirms it was an E.F. Zero tornado that caused damage for about a mile stretch of Sheldon adjacent to Highway 60. O’Brien County Emergency Management Director Jared Johnson tells KICD News it occurred without a Watch or Warning.
Johnson later heard about tornados South of Sheldon that had not been called in. He says the heads up would have been helpful information.
The National Weather Service out of Sioux Falls confirmed the tornado by examining Johnson’s drone footage of the damage.
