Sibley-Ocheyedan traveled to Paullina to take on South O’Brien with both teams in search of their first win.
The Generals struck first when Dalton Wingate hit Dawson Kreykes for a touchdown, giving Sibley-Ocheyedan an 8-0 lead after the 2point conversion.
South O’Brien would strike back though on a 70 yard Touchdown Pass from Justice Freck to Willie Conally, making it 8-7.
Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Wingate would pick up another Touchdown pass, finding Kane Julias from 8 yards out, extending the General lead to 9.
The Generals would hit the gas from there, scoring a touchdown on a Wingate run and a pick 6 by Kane Jullias, giving them a 29-7 lead. South O’Brien would get themselves a pick 6, but that would be all the Wolverines could muster in the end, as Sibley-Ocheyedan won 29-13.
Justice Freck had 87 yards and a touchdown pass for South O’Brien in the loss.
Dalton Wingate put together a nice night for Sibley-Ocheyedan, completing 21 passes for 293 yards and 2 Touchdowns in the win. Kayne Julius caught 6 of those passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Sibley-Ocheyedan is now 1-2 on the year and will play Alta-Aurelia next week on the road.
South O’Brien falls to 0-3 and will also be on the road next week against MMCRU.
