Sioux Rapids, Ia (KICD) – On Big County 107.7, Matt Groenewold had the call of Sioux Central and GTRA in Sioux Rapids.

In the Girls game, Sioux Central sprung out to a 24-6 lead and kept up the pace through the 2nd quarter, leading 42-12 at the half. The Rebels backed off the gas in the second half and would come away with a 62-20 route of the Titans.

Sioux Central was led in scoring by Bradi Krager who scored 19. Morgan Christian added 14 for the Rebels. Madison Fay led the Titans with 9 in the loss. GTRA falls to 3-6 on the season and 1-3 in the Twin Lakes Conference while Sioux Central improves their record to 8-1 and 3-1 in the TLC.

For the Boys game, GTRA had the edge in the 1st Quarter, leading the Rebels 17-15 after 1. Sioux Central would draw the game even at 27 going in to the half. GTRA came out with a strong 3rd quarter, outscoring the Rebels 16-8. The Titans would hold that lead through the fourth as GTRA came away with the 65-57 win.

GTRA was led in scoring by Kasey Hough who scored 23. Teagan Hanson added 21 for the Titans. Jack Christian led the way for Sioux Central with 21. GTRA evens up their record at 4-4 and pick up their first win in the Twin Lakes Conference at 1-3. Sioux Central drops to 2-5 on the year and 1-3 in the TLC.

GTRA will pick up play again after break against North Iowa in Graettinger while Sioux Central gets going again on the 2nd against Ridge View in Holstien.
