November is the latest month for which local unemployment rates are available: Osceola County is lowest at 2 percent even – up point two percent from both the previous month and the same month last year.

Pocahontas County was two-point two percent up point two percent for the month and point three percent for the year.

Buena Vista County was two-point three percent, unchanged for the month and up only point one percent for the year.

We had three local counties at 2.4 percent unemployment in November. Palo Alto County was up point one percent for the month AND the year. O’Brien County was up point 3 percent for the month and point 1 percent for the year, and Cherokee county was up point two percent for the month and point one percent for the year.

The state of Iowa says 2.7 percent of Emmet County’s population seeking work couldn’t in November, up from 2.6 percent in October and an even 3 percent in November 2022.

Clay County’s rate was 2.8 percent, up point three percent from the prior month and unchanged from last year.

Dickinson County registered the highest rate inthe KICD Broadcast area at an even three percent, up half a point from October and point 2 percent from one year ago.
