Paullina, IA (KICD)– Voters in the South O’Brien School District are going to the polls today to decide whether or not to approve a bond referendum for building improvements.
The issue is on the ballot as one big bond totaling nearly 26 million dollars that take down part of the structure constructed in 1920 and replace it with more modern facilities.
If approved, homeowners can expect to see an $8.61 increase each month in property taxes for every 100 thousand dollars of assessed value while farmers will see $3.34 in increases per acre each year.
