Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Baseball team took on Sergeant Bluff-Luton on Monday night at Andy McGaffin Field.

Reid Tigges would get the start for the Tigers, and toss two scoreless innings to get things rolling.  Warriors starter Tyler Lutgen would do the same in the bottom half as the score was tied at zero after 2.

SB-L would strike for 3 runs in the top of the 3rd inning as Parker Lutgen drove in Tanner Kleene on a single, Scott Kroll scored on a passed ball, and Tyler Lutgen singled to push Parker Lutgen across.

The Tigers would respond with a Reid Tigges Solo Home Run in the bottom of the 3rd to make the score 3-1.

With Tigges on a pitch limit, Levi Johnson would step in to throw for the Tigers.  The Warriors would bring another run across in the top of the 4th as Kleene singled to score Will Larimer, making the score 4-1.

That would be all the scoring for the remainder of the game, as the Tiger offense could never really get rolling, ending their Winning streak at 8.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton finishes the regular season at 26-14 while Spencer falls to 19-7.
