Sioux Center, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Tiger Boys Track and Field team as well as the Sibley-Ocheyedan Boys and Girls teams competed at the Dordt High School Indoor Track and Field Meet in Sioux Center on Monday.

In the Girls Meet, top area finishers include the Sibley-Ocheyedan 4x800m Relay team of Wingate, Marco, Hensch, and Brouwer taking 2nd with a time of 10:18.9, Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Ayana Wingate placing 4th in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 10.54 seconds, Madison Brouwer took 1st in the 1500m run with a time of 4 minutes and 57.42 seconds while teammate Madison Marco was 4th with a time of 5 minutes 19.49 seconds. Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Madison Brouwer would also win the 800m run with a time of 2:24.95. In the Girls 4x400m Relay Sibley-Ocheyedan’s team of Wingate, Marco, Hensch, and Brouwer was 3rd with a time of 4:23.45. In the Girls Shot Put Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Keytin Elser was 6th with a throw of 29 feet 5.5 inches.

In the Boys Meet, top area finishers include the Spencer 4x800m Relay team of Munson, Fullhart, Koppie, and Tello placing 2nd with a time of 9:04.15, Spencer’s SAm Hinkeldy taking 2nd in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.94 seconds, teammates Preston Pitts placing 4th with a time of 9.0 seconds, Weston Johnson 5ht with 9.02 seconds, and Dylan Timmer 6th with a time of 9.04 seconds. In the 60m Dash Spencer’s Keaton Stanzel took 5th with a time of 7.32 seconds and Miles Robbins was 8th with a time of 7.39 seconds. In the 400m Dash Spencer’s Ross Carlson was 3rd with a time of 54.8 seconds. The Spencer 4×200 “A” team of Robbins, Wessels, Timmer, and Tigges was 3rd with a time of 1:37.01 and the “B” team of Stanzel, Erdman, Berends, and Carrillo was 4th with a time of 1:38.76. In the Boys 1600m run Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Ben Byers took 4th with a time of 4:49.00. In the Boys 800m Run Spencer’s Van Munson took 3rd with a time of 2:10.21 and teammate Sergio Tello was 4th with a time of 2:11.25. In the 200m Dash Spencer’s Campbell Wessels was 3rd with a time of 24.13 seconds. In the 4x400m Relay Spencer’s team of Timmer, Pitts, Berends, and Carlson was 3rd with a time of 3:41.10. In the Boys High Jump Jack Berends of Spencer took 5th with a jump of 19 feet 5 inches. Spencer’s Kaleb Cline was 2nd in the Shot Put with a throw of 48 feet 2.25 inches.
