Spencer, IA (KICD)– Members of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce came together on Thursday to celebrate another successful year.

Executive Director Sheriffa Jones tells KICD News none of what the Chamber does would be possible without a dedicated staff and group of volunteers.

The Chamber of Commerce also handed out a pair of awards on Thursday one being the Business of the Year to Black Earth Java. Owner Natasha Mohor says she is a huge advocate for local businesses.

 

The Spirit of Spencer award was then given to long time community supporter and volunteer Paul Daniels.

In the last year, the Spencer Chamber has added 27 new Chamber investors; has hosted 11 ribbon cuttings in the community; and has distributed just over $49,000 in the new Chamber Gift Card program.
