Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Spencer City Council gave to okay on Monday to move forward with the design phase of a project involving the local campground, aquatic center and addition of a splashpad.

Parks and Recreation Director Bob Fullhart noted prior to the unanimous vote that is simply the next step in the process to make this project a reality.

There has been previous discussion on taking the project to the public for a vote on a bond issue. The city has until August to get those details worked out in order to get it on the ballot for the November General Election.
