Spencer, IA (KICD)– There are a number of entities continuing to work on recovery efforts several years after the COVID-19 pandemic forced a cease of operations, including the Spencer Community Theatre.

Board member Connie Goeken went before the Spencer City Council on Tuesday to talk progress of getting people back in the theatre’s seats in hopes of rebounding like streaming side of the entertainment industry.

Goeken says data collected last year as part of grant application work shows Spencer Community has a large reach not only at the local level but even internationally.
