Spirit Lake, Ia (KICD) – The Okoboji, Emmetsburg, and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Girls and Boys, Spencer Girls, and Sioux Central Boys competed at the Spirit Lake Co-Ed Invitational Track and Field Meet on Tuesday.

Here are the top finishers for the Girls.

Emmetsburg’s Rachel Schany was 1st in the High Jump with a height of 5 feet 4 inches, Spirit Lake’s Reese Keenan was 2nd with a height of 4 feet 8 inches, and Okoboji’s Jocelyn Heller was 3rd with a jump of 4 feet 6 inches.

Spirit Lake’s Fran Travis was first in the Discus with a toss of 126 feet 3 inches, Spencer’s Elly Heisinger was 2nd with a distance of 112 feet 9 inches with teammate Kaylee Rosacker in 4th with a throw of 102 feet 9 inches and Emmetsburg’s Nora Nelson was 5th with a distance of 91 feet 2 inches

In the Long Jump Spirit Lake’s emma Henrickson was 1st with a leap of 15 feet 11 inches, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Emily Mutombo took 2nd with a distance of 15 feet 3 inches, and Spencer’s Shaylee Sutherland took 3rd with 15 feet flat.

For the Shot Put Spirit Lake’s Lauren Travis took 1st with a throw of 36 feet 8.5 iches while Spencer’s Elliana Heisinger tied for second with North Union’s Olivia Merrill with 36 feet flat, Spencer’s Kaylee Rosacker was 4th with a throw of 34 feet 4.5 inches and Spirit Lake’s Fran Travis was 5th with a throw of 32 feet 8.5 inches.

Spirit Lake’s Katelyn Krieger was 1st in the 3000m Run with a time of 11:31.75 with Spencer’s Peyton Morey in second at 11:32.57, Okoboji’s Maryn Frein 3rd with a time of 11:46.69, and Spencer’s Addison Wyman in 4th with a time of 13:29.82.

In the 4x100m Shuttle Hurdle Relay, Spencer’s team of Merchant, Stave, Hamilton, and Hopkins won with a time of 1:10.14 with Okoboji’s team of Helmers, Gerdes, Rabel, and Newton in second with a time of 1:15.42.

Okoboji’s Ellsa Jorgensen won the 100m Dash with a time of 13.35 seconds with Spirit Lake’s Mackenzie Kauffman in 2nd with a time of 13.37 seconds, Okoboji’s Krishuana Allen in 3rd with a time of 13.39 seconds, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Emily Mutombo placed 4th with a time of 13.88 and Spencer’s Jada Piercy was 5th with a time of 13.93 seconds.

Spirit Lake’s Distance Medley Relay team of Keenan, Bolluyt, DeWild, and Pritchard was 1st with a time of 4:45.05 and Spencer’s team of Sutherland, Hamilton, Haldin, and Schoelerman was 3rd with a time of 4:49.66.

In the 400m Dash Emmetsburg’s Rachel Schany was 1st with a time of 1:01.75, Okoboji’s Zoey Holmes in second witha time of 1:02.9 with teammate Nevach Beal in 4th with a time of 1:09.81.

The Spencer girls 4x200m Relay team of Koenig, Piercy, Vail, and Amendt placed 1st with a time of 1:51.63, Spirit Lake’s group of Bruinsma, Avery, Henrickson, and Duvall placed 2nd with a time of 1:57.32, with Okoboji’s team of Hintz, DeRuyter, Wells, and Rabel in 3rd with a time of 1:58.21.

Spencer’s Jerra Merchant took 1st in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.21 seconds while Okoboji’s Makenna Helmers was in 2nd with a time of 17.46 seconds, Reese Keenan of Spirit Lake in 3rd with a time of 17.62, Emmetsburg’s Emma Auten in 4th with a time of 17.79 seconds, and Spencer’s Crinne Stave took 5th with a time of 18.49 seconds.

In the 800m Run Spencer’s Peyton morey won with a time of 2:42.06 wtih Okoboji’s Grace Pausley in 2nd with a time of 2:51.6, Carly Carstens of Okoboji in 4th, and emmetsburg’s Danica Ringlaben in 5th with a time of 2:55.52.

Okoboji’s Krishauna Allen won the 200m Dash with a time of 27.45 seconds, Spencer’s Erika Amendt took 2nd with a time of 27.55 seconds, Spirit Lake’s Mackenzie Kauffman was 3rd with a time of 27.6 seconds, Zoey Holmes of Okoboji came in 4th with a time of 28.43 seconds, and Spirit Lake’s emma Henrickson crossed in 5th with a time of 30.34 seconds.

Spencer’s Jerra Merchant won the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:05.79, Spirit Lake’
s Charlotte Pritchard came in 2nd with a time of 1:14.86 with teammate Reese Keenan coming in 3rd with a time of 1:14.98.

Spencer’s 800m Sprint Medley Relay team of Koenig, Vail, Piercy, and Amendt placed 1st with Spirit Lake’s team of Bruinsma, Avery, Kauffman, and Scott in second and Emmetsburg’s group of Auten, Steffen, Mueller, and Hall in 3rd.

Spirit Lake’s Ketelyn Krieger won the 1500m Run with a time of 5:18.08 with Okoboji’s Maryn Frein placing 2nd with a time of 5:20.22, Emma Morey of Spencer in 3rd with a time of 5:37.61 just ahead of her teammate Alexandria Palmer in 4th with a time of 4:38.4, and Okoboji’s Lily Miller placed 5th with a time of 6:02.14.

The Spencer 4x800m Relay team of Palmer, Hemann, Haldin, and Morey placed 1st with a time of 11:30.06.

Okoboji’s 4x100m Relay team of Jorgensen, allen, Helmers, and Holmes was 1st with a time of 50.96 seconds, Spirit Lake’s team of Bruinsma, Kauffman, Avery, and Scott was 2nd with a time of 51.05 seconds, and Spencer’s team of Hopkins, Vail, Piercy, and Amendt took 3rd with a time of 52.53 seconds.

Spirit Lake would win the 4x400m Relay with a team of Scott, DeWild, Krieger, and Duvall, clocking a time of 4:32.77, Emmetsburg’s Auten, Hall, Steffen,a nd Schany placed 2nd with a time of 4:43.08, and Spencer came in 3rd with a team of Schoelerman, Stave, Christensen, and Haldin finsihing in 4:43.28.

Spencer took 1st with 167 points, Spirit Lake was 2nd with 148, Okoboji 3rd with 134, Emmetsburg 4th with 60, North Union in 5th with 44, and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in 6th with 21.

Here are the top finishers for the Boys.

Spirit Lake’s Dylan Stecker placed 1st in the High Jump with a leap of 6 feet 5 inches, Emmetsburg’s Byron Maina was 2nd with a jump of 6 feet 4 inches, and South O’Brien’s willie Conley came in 3rd with a height of 6 feet 2 inches.

Okoboji’s Logan Duvall won the Discuss with a throw of 130 feet 1 inch, Adam Schierholz of Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was 2nd with a toss of 125 feet 6 inches, Estherville Lincoln Central’s Jess Christensen was 3rd with a throw of 116 feet 9 inches, Sioux Central’s Jacob Hargens was 4th wtih a throw of 115 feet 11 inches, just ahead of teammate Christian Vasquez in 5th with a throw of 110 feet.

Spirit Lake’s Logan Sandman won the Boys Long Jump with a distance of 20 feet 6.75 inches, the Okoboji teammates of Kaden Zweibehmer and Ethan Schlacther went 2nd and 3rd with distances of 20 feet 5 inches and 19 feet 10.25 inches respectively, and South O’Brien’s Jacob Van Lith placed 5th with a distance of 19 feet 5.75 inches.

Sioux Central’s Jacob Hargens would win the Shot Put with a throw of 45 feet 2 inches with Spirit Lake’s Nolan Theesfeld in 2nd with a toss of 43 feet 8.5 inches, South O’Brien’s Josh Gnade came in 3rd with a distance of 41 feet 7.5 inches, Estherville Lincoln Central’s Liam Brown took 4th with a toss of 40 feet 5.5 inches, and Christian Vasquez of Sioux Central came in 5th with a throw of 40 feet 1 inch.

In the 3200m Run Spirit Lake’s Damon VandenBerg was 1st with a time of 10:39.37 followed by teammate Brandon Hughes in 2nd with a time of 10:42.12, Sioux Central’s Leighton Sippel with a time of 11:31.44, Brayden Kramber of Sioux Central in 4th with a time of 11:37.4, and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Gerge Vargas taking 5th with a time of 12:05.63.

In the Boys 4x100m Shuttle Hurdle Relay, the Spirit Lake team of Toews, Stecker, Alger, and Corwall was 1st with a time of 1:02.08, Emmetsburg’s team of Madden, Brennan, Rubel, and Shirk came in 2nd with a time of 1:04.94, and the Spirit Lake JV made up of Winkel, Lundt, Profit, and Leinbaugh came in 3rd with a time of 1:07.73.

Greg Peterson of Sioux Central placed second in the 100m Dash with a time of 11.23 seconds with Spirit Lake’s Logan Sandman in 3rd with a time of 11.84, Kooper Ebel of Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was 4th with a time of 11.95 seconds, and Emmetsburg’s Ryan Brennan placed 5th with a time of 12.1 seconds.

Willie conley of South O’Brien won the 400m Dash with a time of 54.06 seconds, Sioux Central’s Mad Adams was 2nd with a time of 54.22 seconds, Carter boettcher of Sioux Central came in 3rd witha time of 55.21 seconds, Spirit Lake’s Justyn hamm was 4th with a time of 56.36 seconds, and Elijah Graves of Okoboji was 5th with a time of 56.5 seconds.

Spirit Lake’s 4x200m Relay team of Toews, Cornwall, Alger, and Hussey was 1st with a time of 1:32.97, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn came in 2nd with a time of 1:35.81, and Okoboji’s team of Salmon, Jutting, Schlacther and Wright placed 3rd with a time of 1:36.36.

Ethan Stecker of Spirit Lake won the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 16.09 seconds, teammate Coooper Winkel followed with a time of 16.34 seconds, Emmetsburg’s Cade Shirk was 3rd with a time of 16.46 seconds, South O’Brien’s Boston Riedemann placed 4th with a time of 17.35 seconds, and Cameron Madden of Emmetsburg placed 5th with a time of 17.42 seconds.

Estherville Lincoln Central’s Parker Duitsman won the 1600m Run with a time of 4:47.69, Okoboji’s Trigg Heimdal came in second with a time of 5:03.04, Akron Jostand of Okoboji was 3rd with a time of 5:04.66, Spirit Lake’s Riley Sorenson in 4th with a time of 5:08.06, and Brayden Kramber of Sioux Central placed 5th with a time of 5:09.98.

Spirit Lake’s Carter Toews won the 200m Dash with a time of 22.85 seconds with Sioux Central’s Greg Peterson coming in 2nd with a time of 22.89 seconds, Estherville Lincoln Central’s Ryan Leanard finished 3rd witha time of 23.9 seconds, Kooper Ebel finished 4th with a time of 23.91 seconds, and Dylan Stecker of Spirit Lake finsihed 5th with a time of 24.38 seconds.

Okoboji’s Drew Sandven won teh 400m Hurdles with a time of 59.81 seconds, tommy Profit of Spirit Lake placed 2nd with a time of 1:01.91, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Bradley Zamudio finsihed 3rd with a time of 1:01.96, Sioux Central’s Owen Mills finsihed 4th with a time of 1:02.69, and Elijah Graves of Okoboji was 5th with a time of 1:02.96.

The Okoboji Distance Medley Relay team of Schman, Santos, Jones, and Heeimdal placed 1st with a time of 3:41.12, Spirit Lake’s team of Orpen, Leinbaugh, Wajda, and Sundall finshed 2nd with a time of 3:44.65, and Estherville Lincoln Central’s team of McMurran, Cohrs, Martin, and Duitsman placed 3rd with a time of 3:58.54.

In the 800m Run, Okoboji’s Evan Osler placed 1st with a time of 2:00.19, Ethan Mills of Sioux Central took 2nd with a time of 2:08.17, spirit Lake’s Dietrich Dirks was 3rd with a time of 2:08.2, Jack Christian of Sioux Central took 4th with a time of 2:08.33, and Dylan Jones of Okoboji placed 5th with a time of 2:11.48.

The Sioux Central 4x800m Relay team of Adams, Christian, Boettcher, and Mills placed 1st with a time of 8:46.27, Spirit Lake’s Walz, Dirks, Frangernberg, and Sorenson placed 2nd with a time of 9:02.82, and the Okoboji team of Sandven, Jostand, Larson, and Hesse finished 3rd with a time of 9:14.48.

Spirit Lake’s 4x100m relay team of Sandman, Cornwall, Alger, and Andres placed 1st with a time of 44.44 seconds and Okoboji’s team of Schman, SalmonSchlacther, and Santos took 2nd with a time of 44.62 seconds.

The Okoboji 4x400m Relay team of Jones, Sandven, Heimdal, and Osler took 1st with a time of 3:29.00, Sioux Central’s team of Adams, Boettcher, Mills, and Peterson was 2nd with at time of 3:38.16, and Spirit Lake’s team of Stecker, Wajda, Walz, and Hussey took 3rd with a time of 3:38.16.

Spirit Lake would place 1st as a team with 169 points, Okoboji was 2nd with 117, Sioux Central 3rd with 110, Estherville Lincoln Central 4th with 48, South O’Brien 5th with 41, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 6th with 39, Emmetsburg 7th with 34, and North Union 8th with 22.
