Spencer, IA (KICD)– The month of May is recognized as History Month and Spencer Historic Preservation Commission will once again be bringing back a lecture series looking at various pieces of the Community.

This year’s line-up will begin May 9th and features a variety of different topics including the history and expansion of Spencer Hospital, the 150th anniversary of the Masonic Temple, cemetery history, Flagfest and the Clay County Fair Grandstand.

All presentations will begin at 5:30 in Council Chambers at Spencer City Hall and also streamed live on the city’s Facebook page. The dates for each talk can be found on the Community Calendar on any of our station websites.
