Spencer, IA (KICD)– For the ninth consecutive year, Spencer Hospital has been named one of the top 100 rural and community hospitals.
The award is determined annually based on the Chartis Rural Health Performance Index which is known as the most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural health performances of healthcare facilities across the country.
Spencer Hospital President Brenda Tiefenthaler tells KICD News the success in Spencer over the last nine years simply boils down to the staff.
Spencer Hospital is the only facility in Iowa to have earned a place in the Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals list every year since the award was created.
