Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Spencer Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own with the passing of its long-time K-9 officer.

Officer Mannox was an 11-year-old Belgian Malionis that had served the local community since 2014 while also forming a special bond with his only handler Lieutenant Patrick Westfall.

Officer Mannox passed away on Sunday following a battle with cancer.
