Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– A Spirit Lake woman has been charged with multiple violations related to insurance fraud.

Online court records show criminal complaints were filed against 50-year-old Tammy Zemler late last month for incidents having allegedly occurred nearly two years ago.

The formal charges include three counts each of insurance fraud, forgery and identity theft. Zemler was taken into custody last Thursday and was later released on bond. She is scheduled to be back in court on Thursday.
