Spirt Lake IA, (KICD)— on Friday morning the city of Spirit Lake received their second Blue Star. The mayor of Spirt Lake Bruce Keean says the city is honored to receive the award.

Representative for the Blue Star Program Marian McNabb said that it means we in Iowa love our veterans.

 The Blue Star Marker is placed at the intersection of State Highway 9 and US 71 on the southeast side.
