Spencer, IA (KICD) — The rest of Iowa’s fairs are in June, July, and August. State climatologist Justin Glissen says Clay County’s fair falls in what’s considered a “shoulder” season.

There have been a few sprinkles at this year’s Clay County fair. In 2019 the fair received over three inches of rain. There has never been measurable snow fall at the Clay County fair, but some long-time fair goers do claim they’ve seen a snowflake or two.
