Spencer, IA (KICD)– State officials are issuing a reminder to drivers to move over when a vehicle is stopped along a highway.
State Patrol Trooper Kevin Krull tells KICD News, it is a law in Iowa.
Trooper Krull says if a driver comes across a vehicle stopped along the road, it never hurts to be scanning all portions of the roadway for potential hazards.
This reminder from the Iowa State Patrol and Department of Transportation comes on the heels of an incident late Sunday evening in Polk County that resulted in a tow truck operator being hit and killed by a passing semi.
