Coralville, Ia (KICD) – The Semi-Finals were played yesterday in the Iowa Girls State Volleyball Tournament.

In Class 5A, #1 Dowling Catholic of West Des Moines shut-out #4 Pleasant Valley 3-0 and will play #3 Waukee of Northwest in the 5A State Championship who beat #2 Centennial of Ankeny 3-2.

For Class 4A, #4 North Scott upset #1 Clear Creek Amana 3-0 and will advance to the State Title game to play #2 Indianola who topped #6 Lewis Central of Council Bluffs 3-2.

Class 3A had #1 Mount Vernon defeat #4 Assumption of Davenport 3-1 and #3 Western Christian of Hull shut-out #6 Union Community 3-0. The two will play for the State Championship.

In Class 2A, #1 Dike-New Hartford rolled through #4 Denver 3-0 and will be back in the State Championship game to play #2 Hinton who beat #3 Grundy Center 3-0.

For Class 1A, #1 Ankeny Christian beat #4 BCLUW 3-1 and will face #3 Holy Trinity Catholic of Cedar Rapids in the State Championship who beat #2 Boyden-Hull 3-0.
