Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– A Storm Lake man has been charged in connection to a robbery investigation that was opened over the weekend.

The Storm Lake Police Department received an initial belated robbery report Sunday morning with the victim alleging a man had approached them outside of a home on East 5th Street the evening before, displayed a handgun and demanded money before fleeing to a nearby apartment building.

The investigation led to entry teams from the Storm Lake Police Department and Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office executing a search warrant on Tuesday which is said to have recovered a BB gun pistol matching the description of the weapon used in the robbery.

As a result, 37-year-old Netipan Ludwig was arrested and charged with first degree robbery.
