Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– A Storm Lake man is facing multiple charges after police responded to an incident outside their own office over the weekend.

Officers with the Storm Lake Police Department made contact with the occupants of two vehicles outside the police station around seven o’clock Sunday morning with one of the drivers alledging they had been followed by the other vehicle before 27-year-old Bentrickson Mallarme reportedly opened the door to the victim’s vehicle, engaged in an argument and then hit the victim in the chest.

Mallarme was charged with second degree burlary, false imprisonement, operating while intoxicated, assault and driving without a valid driver’s license. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on 13 thousand dollars bond.
