Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– A Storm Lake man will spend several years behind bars after being sentence in a case related to child sex abuse.
51-year-old Carlos Sican Alvarado entered an alford plea in March on two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child meaning he did not admit guilt but believes there is enough evidence that could convict him.
Sican Alvarado was given five years for each count on Monday by District Court Judge Nancy Whittenburg which will be served secutively. He will then be on supervised release for another ten years after being discharged from prison.
