Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– It has been a little over a week since the 50th Anniversary RAGBRAI took off but the planning committee chair for the first overnight stop is sharing a good review of the event that hosted thousands of extra people.
Carl Turner tells KICD News the experience had by those in Storm Lake appears to be positive.
Despite being able to get enough volunteers to make RAGBRAI successful, Turner says there was still some unplanned work the day riders arrived mostly surrounding heat.
Turner adds the Storm Lake Community also stepped forward when it came to clean-up which he says ended up being fairly easy.
RAGBRAI ended in Davenport on Saturday with 2023 likely going down as of one, if not the hottest, in the ride’s 50 years.
