Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– Storm Lake’s Stacey Cole will be honored this summer as the School Superintendent of the Year by her peers. Since taking over the district she has stressed the importance of attendance to families who immigrated from countries where school is not mandatory.

Cole has also been working on tackling schools that are outdated and overcrowded.

Cole took over as Superintendent of Storm Lake Community Schools in 2018.
