Milford, IA (KICD)– The Okoboji School Board is in the market for a new school superintendent.
Todd Abrahamson is giving them a year’s notice before he hangs it up.
Abrahamson tells KICD News he has chosen NOT to be part of the process of choosing his own successor. The board will meet Wednesday to pick a search firm.
Abrahamson came to the Okoboji School in 2016 after serving as Superintendent in Grinnell.
Last week the Okoboji school district announced it will be asking for the public to pass a 67 million dollar bond issue.
Abrahamson hopes to have the process of building a new elementary and expanding the high school well underway before he retires.
