Spencer, IA (KICD) — The city of Spencer is hoping to jump-start home construction. Deputy City Manager Kevin Robinson says they’re doing all they can do as a municipal entity, and tapping every outside funding source they can.

Mayor Steve Bomgaars hopes some of the federal funds made available to the state of Iowa can be utilized here in Spencer.

 

Governor Reynolds says the construction grants and emergency housing programs are aimed at keeping people in their communities.
