Pocahontas, IA (KICD) — The Haunted House in Pocahontas, marketed as “Poca – HAUNT – us” has won the niche marketing initiative from the Iowa Department of Economic Development. Chamber Director Parker Aiden says it was community effort, including the fire department – which donated the space.
Aiden tells KICD News a lot of planning went into the Halloween attraction ahead of time.
927 people went through PocaHAUNTus and 390 pounds were collected for the Upper Des Moines Food Pantry. Planning is already underway to change up the layout for 2024.
