Des Moines, IA (KICD) — Three counties in the KICD Broadcast were declared disaster areas this week after recent bad weather.

Governor Kim Reynolds made the designation for Kossuth and O’Brien Counties on Monday, and Emmet County on Thursday.

The proclamation allows qualifying individual to be eligible for state money in the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant program and Disaster Case Advocacy Program. Details are available at the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency management website.
