Rock Rapids, IA (KICD) — Three juveniles were in a vehicle that rolled and caught on fire Wednesday afternoon about three miles Southwest of Rock Rapids.
The Iowa State Patrol says the driver lost control where the 160th Avenue turns from pavement to gravel. The vehicle came to rest on its top and all three occupants made it out before the fire started.
One of the teens was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital with serious injuries, another was taken to the hospital in Rock Rapids, the third sustained minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital.
The accident occurred just after school. No names have been released.
