Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– Three Storm Lake teenagers have charged following an alleged stabbing incident Tuesday evening.

Police were called to the intersection of Seneca street and East Lakeshore Drive around 8:45 to a report of a fight involving multiple people where a 15-year-old male was found to have have been stabbed. He was taken to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to another hospital for treatment.

Investigators worked through the night collecting evidence and executing search warrants ultimately charging one teen, only identified as a 15-year-old male with willful injury and going armed with intent. That suspect and two others, a 17-year-old and another 15-year-old, were also charged with participating in a riot.

The incident remains under investigation with additional arrests expected. Anyone with information pertaining to case is asked to contact Storm Lake Police at 732-8010.
