LeMars, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Boys Track and Field team was in LeMars Monday night for the Don Schilling Invitational. Along with LeMars, the host school, Lawton-Bronson, Lewis Central, Sergeant Bluff-Luton, East of Sioux City, and North of Sioux City also attended.
Here are top finishers for the Tigers.
Jack Berends claimed another gold in the Long Jump, with a distance of 20’2”.
In the High Jump, it was Tate VonEhwegen winning with a height of 6’1”.
Miles Robbins took 2nd in the 100m Dash for the Tigers with a time of 11.43 seconds. Keaton Stanzel was 4th with a time of 11.93 seconds.
Berends would get his 2nd win of the night, placing first in the 200m Dash with a time of 23.74 seconds.
The Tigers would take the 4x100m Relay with a time of 44.12 seconds.
Van Munson won the 400m Dash with a time of 54.65 seconds.
Spencer would win the 4x200m Relay with a time of 1:30.65.
In the 800m Run, Carson Krogman would finish 3rd with a time of 2:05.54.
The Tigers took first in the 4x400m Relay with a time of 3:35.83.
Spencer won the 4x800m Relay with a time of 8:30.3.
The Tigers would win the 1600m Medley Relay with a time of 3:57.62.
In the 110m Hurdles, Weston Johnson would win with a time of 16.05 seconds, just ahead of his teammate Sam Hinkeldey who ticked 16.46.
Preston Pitts took gold in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.51 seconds.
Spencer would dominate the 4x110m Shuttle hurdle relay, finishing over 8 seconds in front of second place Sergeant Bluff-Luton with a time of 1:01.2.
By sweeping the relays and winning several individual events, Spencer would cruise to a 1st place finish, scoring 159 points, winning by 62.5 points over second place Lewis Central.
The Tigers will compete at the Sioux City Relays this weekend at Morningside University.
