Spencer, Ia (KICD) – It was a Thriller last night at the Northwest Iowa Soccer Field as Spencer took on Sioux Center in Boys Soccer.
It would be the Warriors drawing first blood on a 10th minute goal by Logan Foltz.
Nolan MucCusker would tie in up another 11 minutes later for his 6th goal of the year.
The teams would stay tied going in to the half and stay tied for the 2nd 40 minutes. Eli Hookfin had a big save in the 2nd half’s 31st minute to keep the match even.
The Match would go to overtime, but 2 extra periods of 10 minutes wouldn’t be enough to decide it, as the game went to Penalty Kicks.
Eli Hookfin put a huge sequence together to give the Tigers an early advantage.
Sioux Center would be able to even it up after TeStroete deflected an attempt and a made goal. But Hookfin was able to get his hand on another Warrior attempt.
Alvarez would give the Tigers an advantage.
The Final Sioux Center attempt would go high, giving Spencer the 2-1 win in Penalty Kicks.
Spencer remains undefeated and will play West Sioux on the road this afternoon.
