Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Tigers Girls and Boys traveled to Cherokee on Tuesday night for a Lakes Conference match up.

In the Girls 67-36 win Jerra Merchant scored 24 points for the Tigers. Cherokee was led in scoring by Laney Wolfswinkel who had 12. Spencer only built on their 20-4 1st quarter advantage, cruising to a 9-1 record and a 3-1 conference mark.

The Spencer boys really broke out in order to snap their 3 game losing streak, not only winning by 21 points, their highest margin of victory for the year, but also scoring the most they had all year. 12 Different Tigers scored in the 73-52 win, all lead by Owen Olson’s 20. Aiden Comstock scored 17 to lead the Braves.

The Spencer Tigers Girls and Boys will be back in action on Friday January 20th at Western Christian.
