Superior, IA (KICD)– Two people were hurt in a Wednesday evening crash in rural Emmet County.

Sheriff Mike Martens tells KICD News, the incident occurred on the Dickinson County line about two miles east of Superior just before 6:30 when a westbound SUV driven by 40-year-old Dina Diamanti of Bigelow entered the path of a northbound vehicle driven by 19-year-old Jason Bauer of Hanlontown causing the two to collide.

Both vehicles reportedly ended up with the ditch with Diamanti having to be removed from her vehicle by mechanical means.

Both drivers were taken area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
