Jackson, MN (KICD)– Two people were hurt in a multiple vehicle crash south of Jackson Tuesday morning.

A crash report from the Minnesota Patrol says a passenger car driven by 36-year-old Jordan Hawn of Spirit Lake was southbound on Highway 71 about five miles north of the Iowa border around 5:30 when the collission occured with a northbound SUV driven by 27-year-old Maria Cruzbanegas of Estherville.

The report notes the roadway was dry at the time of the crash but does not indicate any additional circumstances that may have played a role.

Both drivers were taken to area hospitals with what are described as non-life threatening injuries. Cruzbanegas was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time according to authorities.
