Spencer, IA (KICD)– Two Spencer men has been charged in connection to an armed robbery investigation from late February.

The Spencer Police Department and High Risk Entry and Arrest Team executed simultaneous search warrants at apartments in the 500 block of East 19th Street and 900 block of 13th Street Southwest Friday morning taking 22-year-old Darrious Green and 20-year-old Taron Green into custody.

The warrants were issued after police were notified February 27th that an unnamed victim had reportedly been held at gunpoint and assaulted in an Spencer apartment building parking lot before an undetermined amount of cash was stolen.

Both men have been charged with interference with official acts and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Darrious Green also faces a charge of first degree robbery.
